Top 3 puppy supplies to purchase before you get your pooch

Here are a few items I purchased before bringing Arty home. Everything was on Amazon so I didn’t have to lug anything up and down stairs or carry it out the store. Super convenient.

Dog Pen

This was probably one of the best purchases I’ve ever made. It was big enough for Arty to walk around in. It fit his bed, a pee pad, and his food & water bowls. It has a door so he can easily come and go as he pleases. It’s best to have this on a wood or tile floor to avoid pee seeping through the carpet (obviously). Arty is too short to jump out and we can lock him in there the whole night for sleepy time. It’s also a great purchase if you are trying to potty train and want to limit the amount of space they have to do their business.

Food Storage

I am pretty organized and clean so I hate clutter. I didn’t like the idea of leaving Arty’s dog food on the floor, the kitchen, or even under a sink. So I purchased this storage bin that has 2 compartments. I use one compartment for his food and the other for his clothes, special foods, bowties etc. Its nice because it fits in the corner of my kitchen and Arty’s food is easily accessible. Both compartments have lids so the food you store is safe. It fits up to 15lbs of dog food, so a pretty good amount.

Food & Water Bowl

I got these bowls and they’re pretty great! It comes with both a food & water bowl so I don’t have to purchase 2 separate ones. They have a bone-shaped lip all around so if water or food spills it catches it. The lid also prevents the bowls from moving when Arty is drinking water or eating food. The only thing I have to do is clean the lid maybe once every 2 weeks to keep it from staining the lid with watermarks.
